London, 23 September 2015 – Developer Quintain has announced the release of 750,000 square feet of space for office development at its flagship Wembley Park development.
Guests including broadcaster Clare Balding attended a launch today where details were revealed about the offering which sees Quintain partner with Colliers International and Cushman & Wakefield for the new London business destination.
The location is just 12 minutes from central London and is pitched at large companies who want a well-connected and competitively priced, modern, London HQ.
The offices will be built bespoke to the individual requirements. It will rival other developments like Stratford and Croydon with prices at less than £40 per square foot.
Wembley Park is linked by three stations, three tube lines, overground and two national rail lines and soon to be served by 24-hour tube at weekends. It also has excellent road links to the M1, M40 and M25 and 3,000 parking spaces.
The site’s great connectivity is not limited to transport – Wembley Park has the fastest broadband in London, made possible with fibre optic cables built in as standard. Current offices and homes have speeds of up to 1GB and The SSE Arena and new offices will benefit from 10GB.
This makes Wembley ideal for hi-tech businesses and financial companies dealing with large volumes of data.
More than 4,000 people are already working at Wembley Park’s campus-style site which has the iconic Wembley Stadium and the historic Wembley Arena, now called the SSE Arena, as well as the 70-store London Designer Outlet, central London’s only outlet shopping centre. This brought a nine-screen cinema to Wembley Park.
James Saunders, COO of Quintain, said: “These new offices provide a great opportunity for companies to share in the success of London’s newest business destination.
“We offer a supremely well-connected location just 12 minutes from the West End, superfast broadband, a campus-style environment with shops and other entertainments which helps staff retention, and all at a highly competitive rate.”
Councillor Roxanne Mashari, Lead Member for Employment and Skills at Brent Council said: “Creating new, high quality jobs has always been a key feature of the Council’s vision for Wembley.
“We are pleased to see Quintain rising to this challenge and look forward to supporting them secure excellent tenants. We would also work with new tenants to help meet their employment needs.”
Wembley Park has a 361-room four star hotel, with conference facilities and gym and swimming pool open to non-residents. Also on the campus nearby are seven 5G all-weather five-a-side pitches open to the public.
Sweeping boulevards which link the campus together host music, displays and a winter ice rink.
1,000 people already live at Wembley Park. Next year will see 475 apartments delivered in Emerald Gardens and the next phase of 360 apartments is under construction.
Companies will be able to design their own office blocks and move in within 24 months. The buildings will range in size from 70,000 square feet to 750,000 square feet.
They will have excellent efficiencies that can accommodate an occupational density of 1:8 sq m.
